Apply Suppressions

When running counts, you have the ability to restrict or suppress previous orders and external files from the results. See below for guidance on applying suppressions.

Previous Order Suppression

When running a count, orders previously placed in DPD Access can be suppressed from your results. 

  1. After naming the count in "Step 1: Name Your Project", on Step 2: Define Settings, select the "Previous Order Suppression" tab
  2. Select either "Previous orders by Days" or "Specific Orders" 
    • Previous Order by Days will allow auto-selection of orders within a time period
      • For individual clients, select the current client (which will automatically populate under the "client" list") or click the + button to add more clients.
      • To include previous orders from all clients, click the "All Clients" check box
      • Click the check box for previous Prescreen Data, previous Trigger data, or All. 
      • Select the drop-down for the number of days since the order was placed. Options are 15, 30, 45, 60, 90, 120, 150, or 180 days
    • Specific Orders will allow you to manually search and select individual orders 
      • To apply a specific previous order, enter the search information. You can search by Client, Date Range, Order Number, Project Name, PO Number, or Data Source. Not all fields must be filled in.
      • Click "Search"
      • Select the check box next to the order to suppress. The order will appear under the list of "Specific Orders Suppressed".
      • To remove a specific order from the list, click the red X

File Suppression

When running a count, files outside of DPD Access can be used as suppressions. You must first upload the file for suppression. For a complete guide on uploading external file suppressions, refer to the article "Upload a Suppression"

  1. After naming the count in "Step 1: Name Your Project", on Step 2: Define Settings, select the "File Suppression" tab
  2. Search for the File by typing the Client Name or File Name in the Search Box. Results will continuously filter as you type.
  3. Click the check box next to the specific file to suppress
  4. To select all results, click the check box in the header row



You must first upload the file for suppression. Refer to the article "Upload a Suppression" for guidance on creating file suppressions. 



Review Suppressions

It is very important to review your suppressions to ensure they are being properly applied.

  1. On the Project Details Summar, Click on "View"
  2. Review all required suppressions are listed
  3. Click "Close"
